An Inspiring Afternoon

An Inspiring Afternoon

We had an absolutely awe-inspiring afternoon with the incredible crew of Oars Of Thunder and their fellow racers, who are gearing up for the extraordinary challenge of the World's Toughest Row.

This daunting race will see them row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to Antigua—an adventure most would never dream of undertaking. But for this crew, it’s all about pushing boundaries, both physically and mentally.

Over the course of about two months, the team will endure gruelling 2-hour shifts—rowing, then resting for just two hours, round the clock. The sheer endurance required is staggering, and seeing firsthand the cramped bunks and minimalist food supplies that will sustain them for weeks on end gave us a real sense of the scale of their challenge. It’s more than just rowing—it’s about teamwork, resilience, and an unshakable spirit.

What struck us most was the enthusiasm and determination of the Oars Of Thunder team. Their passion for this challenge and their drive to succeed are truly contagious, and we left the meeting feeling honoured to be a part of their journey. Manning and Company is proud to sponsor such an extraordinary crew as they prepare for what will surely be the adventure of a lifetime.

Join us in cheering them on as they take on this monumental feat!
